A character's Might increases with levels.

Suggested Might

Your party's Might is the sum of all character's Might. If your party meets the suggested Might, your instance is labelled normal and you get the default chest reward intended for the encounter.

You may exceed the suggested Might. However, the more you exceed it, the lesser the chest reward. If you exceed slightly, the instance is labelled normal-, at 200% of the suggested Might, it is labelled easy. If you exceed further, your instance will eventually be labelled trivial and there is no chest reward. You cannot request an instance with more than 400% of the suggested Might.

If you defeat an encounter with a lower amount of Might than suggested, you get a higher reward. At 50% of the suggested Might, your instance is labelled hard.

Modes

(group instances)

There are four main modes: Trivial, Easy, Normal and Hard. To soften the transitions a bit there are the +/- version of the modes. Normal-mode corresponds to the suggested Might for the instance. Easy-mode means you can show up with up to 200% of the suggested Might. Hard mode means you only use 50% of the suggested Might.
