This page explains Instance Auras on EQ Might and lists the custom spells, songs, disciplines, auras, and other abilities that differ from the default game. EQ Might includes many added or modified auras, spells, including click‑effects from items. This page covers custom spells only; it does not detail Rank II+ or regular spells, of which many are available.

Instance Auras
Instances are divided into tiers, and each tier has a suggested Might value. The suggested Might represents the expected strength of the party. If a party’s Might is below or above this value or a specific difficulty is selected, an aura is applied to all players and pets inside the instance as compensation.
Aura of Might
Aura of Might
The Aura of Might is available in 11 different ranks. It generally appears in group instances of Tier 2 and higher and is intended to support parties that are smaller or have lower Might than what the instance expects.
Aura of Might is applied to all players when they enter the instance (it does not function in the open world). Make sure you have a free buff slot.
The following table outlines the Aura of Might applied in instances where the Aura is granted automatically (solo/duo tier 1-6, group tier 1-3). In higher‑tier instances that allow players to select their own difficulty and Aura combination, these values are not used.
Increase Spell Damage by 13% per rank

Absorb Spell Damage: 7% per rank (less at higher ranks)
Absorb Melee Damage: 7% per rank (less at higher ranks)
Increase Chance to Twincast by 1% per rank
Aura of Intensity

The Aura of Might is available in different ranks. It is automatically applied for players in an instance of mode intense.
Aura of Frailty
Aura of Frailty
Aura of Frailty is the opposite of Aura of Might. It is genearlly applied as a compensation in cases where players choose a higher difficulty than their suggested Might would allow.
