The Singularity system is EQ Might’s rarest and most collaborative reward mechanic: as players complete high‑tier encounters, both the participating characters and the entire server accumulate Singularity Charge, gradually increasing the chance that a powerful Singularity item appears as bonus loot. When one finally drops, the server's and triggering player's accumulated charge resets and the cycle restarts, keeping these items exceptionally rare - roughly five per month across the whole server. A wide range of Solo/duo, Trio, Group and Raid encounters can contribute to or trigger a Singularity, and server‑wide potion turn‑ins also add charge.
Singularity Charge grows through a combination of individual effort and collective server activity. Whenever players complete eligible high‑tier encounters across Solo/Duo, Trio, Group, and Raid content, both the participating characters and the entire server gain charge. The following events can build charge:
Solo/Duo: The three revolting Shissars, Ar’yer the Warlord, The Corruption of Ro, Hartini the Smart, Solstice the Firemane
Trio: Timeless Frenzied Ghoul, Timeless Cazel, Lady Tay, Nerro, The Azure Warden, Thalmyra of the Gleaming Coil
Group: Ancient Warlord Petrad, Ancient Seer Venos, Baat Groobsmash, Summoran, Daosheen the Firstborn, Mad Mary-Anne, Vishimtar, Ar’yer the Warlord, Count Drakvish, Nightrage Sanguinarch, Ayonae Ro, Sullon Zek, Irrissa the Seer, Mayong Mistmoore & Solusek Ro, Gravitus Gargantua, The Avatar of Dust, Timeless Maestro Rancor, Timeless Innoruuk, The Fabled Cynosure Kvanjji, The Fabled Iqthinxa Karnkvi, The Fabled Zun`Hexxt Pvin Nki, Krag`Thul the Fabled Bonebreaker
Raid: The Fabled Agnarr the Stormlord, The Fabled Skal's Waking Nightmare, The Fabled Saryrn, The Fabled Rallos Zek, The Fabled Solusek Ro, The Fabled Mithaniel Marr, The Fabled Fennin Ro, Timeless Trakanon, Lady Yzarma, Mistress Mistrilla, Timeless Tsiraka, Timeless Zlandicar, Aerius Windfury, Brood Mother Visziaj, Kerafyrm the Awakened, Kildrukaun the Ancient Prophet, Tjudawos the Ancient, Skaramatra the Fallen, Skaramatra the Risen, Hsagra The Green Dragoness, Timeless Avatar of War, Timeless King Tormax, Gorvash Bloodmarauder, Rallos Zek
Higher difficulty modes, higher‑tier NPCs, and strong treasure chest rolls all increase the amount of Singularity Charge awarded, while low modes or poor rolls can reduce it to zero.
Singularity Charge is built on two parallel tracks: server charge and individual player charge. Every eligible kill that produces Singularity value adds that value both to the server’s global charge and to up to three contributing players, ensuring that challenging encounters and good performance meaningfully advance the Singularity cycle.
A Singularity can trigger every time an eligible NPC is defeated and its treasure chest appears. At that moment, the slayer receives a chance to activate the Singularity. The likelihood depends on the combined amount of Singularity Charge held by the server and the slayer: the higher this total, the higher the chance. While Singularities can technically occur even at very low charge, they are statistically expected* to trigger somewhere around 1000 charge, but they may happen earlier or later. (Expected means the combined chance of all attempts up to that value add up to a 1:1-chance. The individual chance, even at 1000 charge, is still low.)
When the Singualrity triggers, the treasure chest receives one random Singularity item. When this happens, the server’s charge and the slayer’s personal charge are both reset to zero, while all other players keep their accumulated charge for future attempts.
If the attempt does not trigger a full Singularity but still falls within a secondary threshold, a smaller “spark” event occurs instead, adding either Epic 2.0 custom quest items (for players who haven't unlocked level 70 and NPCs marked blue in above list) or Dust of Might to the chest.
Singularity items are among the most powerful rewards available on EQ Might. They currently appear as weapons, masks, belts, or augmentations, and come in two qualities: Tier 16‑, which can be equipped at level 69, and Tier 16+, which require level 70. Each Singularity item is intended to be exceptionally rare. In practice, an individual Singularity item is very likely to drop only once and then remain unique on the server. Only after every Singularity item in the pool has appeared at least once, can the cycle begin again, allowing items to drop again.
